Building the Future of Our Club

Reds Media12 Oct - 19:50

2025 Promotional club video and the future

This season marks a major milestone: for the first time, we now offer a complete player pathway in both male and female football, from U7s all the way through to senior teams. With that foundation in place, we’re ready to move into the next exciting phase of our development.

As we approach our 50th anniversary, our goal is to expand far beyond our current offering and strengthen our connection with the local community.

Here’s what’s coming next:

1. Revamped Cadets (Ages 5–6)

We’re relaunching our cadets section with an ambitious vision. Coordinated by UEFA and FA-qualified coaches, we aim to double participation and deliver sessions four nights a week.

  • New format: Cadets will be introduced to 3v3 football, preparing them for the FA’s updated U7s game format.
  • Inclusive sessions: Boys, girls, and mixed groups depending on numbers.
  • Pathway into grassroots: On completion, cadets will progress seamlessly into our youth teams.
  • New look: A new badge just for cadets and their very own red jersey

2. Expanding Futsal Opportunities

Following the success of our U11 “Raven Squad” futsal team, which has been running for a year, we’ll be making futsal more widely available across all age groups.

  • Players have already shown noticeable growth in ball confidence, movement, strength, and conditioning — all while enjoying the game.
  • We’re excited to offer more players the chance to experience these benefits.

3. Extending the Pathway Beyond Seniors

We’re also developing opportunities for players beyond our senior teams:

  • Veterans team: Returning in the 26/27 season, with training and friendlies starting earlier.
  • Walking football: Also launching in 26/27, designed for those who miss the competition, camaraderie, and team spirit of football, while offering a fun and accessible way to stay active.

We want to make our family club a club where all the family can play bringing generations together under the raven. As well as current junior players we would love to see younger siblings or relatives in cadets, older siblings or relatives in our senior teams, parents who are part of our veterans set-up and even grandparents who participate in walking football.
