As the new season approaches for our junior teams, we’d like to take this opportunity to share an update, reflect on last season’s successes, and outline some exciting developments for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
We’re proud to report that the 2024/25 season was a great success both on and off the pitch. Many of our teams earned honours throughout the season, and the continued growth of the club enabled us to fully fund summer training in preparation for the new season ahead.
On the Pitch – 2025/26 Developments
We’re thrilled to welcome several new teams this season. Notably, we’re introducing a brand-new U7s team who are beginning their Ravenshead Reds journey, along with a number of new teams across older age groups.
A particularly proud milestone for the club is the formation of our new Women’s Senior Team. This has been a long-standing goal of ours and marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing inclusive football opportunities for all.
Off the Pitch – Improvements and Innovation
Following the success of last season’s trial, we will continue to process payments through our website using a streamlined system. We’re also working to enhance the functionality and user experience of both the website and club app throughout the 2025/26 season.
These improvements will include:
• A brand-new online club shop
• Improved two-way communication tools
• Enhanced fixture details and player availability tracking
• Expanded team and club news features
Looking Ahead
Our U6 Cadet Scheme is off to a fantastic start, with 9 players already signed up and on track to form next season’s U7 team. We also have a number of soccer schools scheduled across the season, building on the outstanding attendance and engagement we saw last year.
Our Futsal team continues to grow and has now started playing competitive matches, with plans to enter national tournaments in the near future.
Meanwhile, our girls’ section is expanding steadily, in line with one of our core club strategies.
Welcome Packs
In the coming weeks, we’ll be emailing all parents a Season Welcome Pack. This will include key information about the club, important contacts, and helpful details for the year ahead.
How can you help
We have a number of voluntary positions available at the club ranging from league coordinators to fundraising coordinators to welfare assistants. These are shown on the contacts page of our website.
We also have a number of sponsorship options available both club wide and individual teams; these range from training kits to website sponsorship.
If you would like to discuss volunteering for a vacant position or sponsorship options please contact our Strategy, Development and Media Manager - Chris Kowalenko via the contacts page of our website or club app.
Finally
Thank you for being a part of the Ravenshead Reds family. Here’s to a fantastic season ahead.
Come on you Reds!
