This summer marks a proud moment for Ravenshead Reds as our first-ever girls team—formed back in 2015—completes their journey through the junior leagues, finishing their final season at U18 level. What began as a groundbreaking step for the club has since become a cherished part of our history, filled with unforgettable memories and achievements.

Now, these trailblazing young women are set to graduate into senior football, laying the foundation for an exciting new era in the club’s women’s section. Seven members of the current squad have already committed to continuing into the senior ranks—a strong core to build on as we look ahead to the 2025/26 season.

They’ll be joined by several experienced senior players, creating a fantastic blend of youth and leadership that will represent the club in the upcoming women’s leagues. This next chapter offers a clear pathway for our younger girls’ teams to progress into senior football—mirroring the structure already established in our men’s section.

With our club’s 50th anniversary fast approaching, there’s never been a more exciting time to be part of the Ravenshead Reds family—especially within the growing Girls and Women’s programme.
