Ravenshead 0-3 Woodhouse (H)
Another home game today and a slight chill in the air greeted us. A tough match was always going to be the case against a very physical Woodhouse side who have been our nemesis since we started the team. However our guys today showed a significant difference compared to the pre season game we had with them. This massively highlights the progress we have made since way back then and I could not be any prouder of all the guys.
As I said it was a battle throughout and the goals they scored weren’t well worked moves just us not engaging and stopping the shots quick enough.
However they worked like troopers across everyone on the pitch and I really saw the passion and desire on show. They are a team and will always work for each other as a unit. We worked some great passing moves at times and I’m hoping for that to continue. A number of great performances today and a number of players could have been awarded. Parents player went to Sebastian. He carried on his battling performance from last week and always looked to link play.
Coaches player went to Jake. I said when asked by Jakey if they were starting as sub. I said to both of them “you are not subs, you are game changers” and that was very clear to see. Jake’s performances and confidence has grown massively since he joined us and he is really showing his defensive skills and ability on the ball. Well done.
Next week we are away to quarrydale in another league game.
