Ravenshead 0-1 Phoenix Devils
Wow what can we say about today’s game. We fought to get it played when the opposition continually tried to put it off. We got it on and it was nice to be back on home ground. In a game where we dominated, created chance after chance through fantastic football moves throughout the team (Kev would love our triangles) we cut through them. We hit the woodwork on a number of occasions, had numerous corners and the amount of saves there goalkeeper made kept them in the game. Unfortunately it wasn’t going to be our day and they snook in a goal when the ball after ricochets fell to one of their players who then hit the back of the net. I still can’t believe how we didn’t come away with a win but that just epitomises how football can be. An amazing performance by the whole team today and although it’s very disappointing I couldn’t be any prouder of them.
Parents player went to Krish today. Made a few good saves himself and always looked to get moves going quickly by throwing the ball out. Well done. Coaches player went to Harry. Worked his socks off in a number of positions, used his pace and battled hard. Well done.
We move onto next week where we go again. Some more of what I saw today please. Keep them kids smiling. Thanks to Daz for reffing and all the support you give. It’s always appreciated and keep it up. Have a great rest of the weekend.
