Sorry for the lateness of this I had to shoot off to work.
A tough one to take today as Nat said.
Back at home on our large pitch, bobbly and sticky which made football difficult.
We came up against a team with a number of bigger players. I’m not sure whether this got into our heads straight off and dinted the confidence when they powered their way into scoring goals. This seemed to be the way the game played out with glimmers of what we were capable of and the fight that we all know we have in us as a team. This unfortunately was not our day and we shall move on quickly and show them next time what we are all about.
Plaudits to Krish for some fantastic saves which kept the score down. Well done to Freya who battled like a trooper and as the only girl on the field showed the fighting spirit and some good skills and work. Well done to Harry for the use of his pace and skill, showing he is growing in confidence.
Thankyou to Steve for reffing. I know the fun that can be had when stood in the middle. Much appreciated.
This will be an anomaly in our journey this season and we move on to the next phase. We shall take this result, the disappointment and will know that we can perform better. This will help with our learning of resilience and reflect on what we can all do better.
We’ve been knocked down but we shall get back up stronger.
