Another goal fest this morning as the boys came on top against Tuxford.

We started brightly and scored with the first attack of the game through Loxley to make it 1-0. However we took our foot off the gas slightly which let Tuxford in to instantly make it 1-1. After that, the boys looked bright for the rest of the match (Apart from the last quarter). We re-took the lead through a great finish from Ethan and we carried on the great finishing through Loxley who scored another 2 to complete his hattrick in the first quarter of the game. We played really well in this 10 minutes and defended really well as a team with Harrison leading by example at the back. 4-1 to us after the first 10 minutes.

In the second quarter, we made some changes but the boys carried on with the intensity and continued to push for more goals. Che got his first of the game to make it 5-1 and very quickly got his second to make it 6-1. Noah managed to then get his first of the match to make it 7-1 with a close finish. Tuxford then managed to pull one back through sloppy defending and not tracking back to make it 7-2. However Che completed his hattrick with a great finish. 4-1 to us in that quarter (8-2 overall).

In the third quarter, we carried on playing some good football when Ethan found Che and he added another goal with a tidy finish. Tuxford then went down the other end to make it 9-3. We carried on playing our football and working hard for each other and the rewards came in this 10 minutes with Noah finishing well to get his second and Che got his 5th goal with a great finish into the bottom corner. Tuxford kept coming in this half and did manage to get on the scoresheet again before the whistle went. 3-2 to us in that quarter (11-4 overall).

In the forth and final quarter, we completely switched off. Tuxford played with freedom and kept coming forward. Jackson made a string of good saves in this quarter but Tuxford added 3 goals without reply to end on a bit of a low. However the lads played brilliantly overall and deserved the win. 3-0 to Tuxford in that quarter (Final score 11-7 to us).

The lads did themselves proud today, after last week I asked them to be more greedy and have more attempts on goal. Which they did, the lads scored some great goals today and played some good football at times.

Player of the Match:
Che - It could have gone to a number of players today as the lads really stepped it up at times. However Che scored 5 great goals, some good finishes and a good work rate today.

If the lads continue to work hard for the whole game they will take some beating as we move forward.
