A perfect way to end our 2024 fixtures with another great win at home!

We started like a house of fire and blew DLFC away in the first 10 minutes, We went 1-0 up through Loxley, very quickly went 2-0 up when Harrison ran through their team to finish and then added a third when Loxley finished well when through on goal. It was a perfect spell of football, but the battling of the team with Junior and Che in midfield meant DLFC barely had a kick.

3-0 up after 10 minutes.

In the second 10 minutes we added a forth with another great goal from Harrison and we were in cruise control. However, we completely switched off and had a mad 5 minute spell which allowed DLFC back into the game. They scored directly from a corner, added a second from close range and then a third when their player shot and it went just out of reach from Jackson. At that point, we were on the ropes but we managed to get ourselves back on top when Noah finished well just before the end of the half.

5-3 up after 20 minutes

The third 10 minute spell was a quiet one from a goal point of view but the lads continued to work hard to maintain our lead. We had some good efforts from Che and Noah in this spell but we could get another goal which would have made in more comfortable.

5-3 up after 30 minutes

In the last 10 minute spell the lads had to dig deep. DLFC came at us and were trying to get the win, they added a forth early on and then managed to equalise when they played a corner into the box for their striker to tap home. However, the lads dug deep, picked themselves up and kept going. They got a deserved winner when Loxley managed to find the back of the net with a great finish that their keeper couldn't keep out to complete his hattrick (His 5th hattrick in 8 games!).
