A totally dominant display from the girls today as they finally managed to get a result their recent performance have deserved.

We started strong and dominated the football in the opposition half for most of the game. The girls never gave the opposition a second in that first half, both Lacey and Robyn dominated the midfield battles throughout. We deservedly went ahead when a great 30 yard freekick from Isla flew into the back of the net. We then went 2-0 up when an Isla corner fell to Nevie who tapped home from close range. We continued to push in the first half, and could have had a few more goals. Isla had another great freekick cleared off the line by the defender, with the goalkeeper no where near it. Bingham tried to hit us on the counter attack a few times but Hollie, Leyla, Eloise and Sofia all stepped up when needed in that half.

Half time: 2-0 to Ravenshead.

We made a few changes at half time but the dominant display didn't stop. We very quickly added to our total when Darcey tapped home from an Isla corner to make it 3-0 and then Lacey finished well from an Isla cross to make it 4-0. We continued to push and had chances to score more with Darcey, Nevie and Lily all coming close in the second half. We were very cruelly denied a fifth goal of the game (And best goal of the game) when Lacey ran past 3 players on the right wing and crossed brilliantly for Nevie to score but the Linesman was either drunk, cheating or doesn't understand the offside rule as he somehow put his flag up. Bingham scored a goal late on to make it 4-1 but truth be told, we were never in trouble in the game.

Full Time: 4-1 to Ravenshead

An absolute pleasure today! We were outstanding last week against Bagthorpe and all we asked was for the girls to have the same approach today, which they did and they were magificent!

Goal Scorers:
Isla
Nevie
Darcey
Lacey

Player of the Match:
Isla - 1 goal, 3 assists. She absolutely ran the show today. She could have had a second goal and some of the passing today was outrageous. Rumour has it, Mark owes Isla £50 after that display today.

A special mention to Lacey today, as she never stopped and was outstanding throughout. A proper dominant display in the middle of the park.

Attitude outstanding, football outstanding and desire brilliant. A real team performance today!

On we go!!
